Boosting Construction Employees’ Performance Through Smart Ergonomic Moves

Abstract Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are construction workers’ most prevalent occupational diseases due to awkward body posture, high repetition of work and vibration. The study sought examine the different types ergonomic moves that could improve performance. Findings show majority workers were males their trade groups cut across (masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electricals). There was a scarcity civil engineers quantity surveyors in almost all firms. influential factors contributed musculoskeletal injuries among extreme temperature, static posture exertion force at work. These have loss concentration absenteeism work, which also led delays execution Further findings engineering control measures should be employed, training education given prevent MSDs employees enable them smarter but not harder Employers include specific task company’s policy for newly employed personnel.
